Biography
makalani bandele is an Affrilachian Poets and Cave Canem fellow. He has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Kentucky Arts Council, Millay Colony, and Vermont Studio Center. He holds an MFA from University of Kentucky. His work has been published in several anthologies and widely in literary journals. He is the author of hellfightin’, under the aegis of a winged mind, and the forthcoming (jopappy & the sentence-makers) are eponymous as funk (2024).
